Over the past year, I’ve published reporting based on classified CIA assessments that I believe the public deserves to know about. I’ve used sources in Congress to get behind lawmakers’ public positions on war and foreign policy, uncovering the negotiations, pressure campaigns, and political calculations shaping what they actually do. And I’ve traveled to Palestine and Cuba to report firsthand on the crimes committed in our name.
There are far more stories worth pursuing than I currently have the capacity to report.
Independent journalism has material conditions, too: it requires time, labor, and resources.
